Summary
In today’s consumer-driven electronics markets many products have a limited shelf life and likewise the semiconductor components that drive these items have short lifecycles. However, there are a number of Industries that require semiconductor components to have a lifecycle of 20-30 years, including: Industrial, Automotive, Medical, and Aerospace and Defense. This can be very difficult and expensive both for the Original Component Manufacturers (OCMs) and the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) who relies on a continuous source of components for applications that can often be critical and lifesaving.
- This webinar outlines options available to extend semiconductor component product life cycles and delay obsolescence.
- The pros and cons of each option will be discussed while the viewer will learn of the various services and solutions available.
